University of Oregon School of Law, J.D. (1998)
University of Oregon, B.A. (1995)

Pat joined Hershner Hunter’s Creditors’ Rights practice group in 2009, after 10 years of successfully litigating cases throughout Oregon and Washington—the last three years as a member of Hershner Hunter’s Litigation team.

Pat’s practice is focused upon helping businesses get paid for materials and services when customers do not pay. This includes not only traditional methods such as foreclosures, but it also involves coordinating strategies on preventative measures businesses can take to ensure payment and to avoid or minimize the high cost of litigation if a transaction does become a problem.

A current member and former director of the Lane County Bar Association, Pat is also a member of the Oregon and Washington State Bar Associations. He has served on and chaired a number of Lane County Bar Association committees.

Growing up in Santa Cruz, California, the lure of the sea has always been with Pat. He was an avid surfer and spent a summer working as a commercial fisherman based in Kodiak, Alaska.

Pat came to law as a second career. Prior to graduating from the University of Oregon, Pat spent 12 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, five of which were spent leading one of the most successful restaurants in Santa Cruz. After those 12 years, Pat decided to follow an interest he’d had since childhood and pursue a career as an attorney.

When not practicing law Pat enjoys cooking with his large, Portland-based family; spending time outdoors with family and friends; and, when time allows, sneaking in a round of golf.
