Nancy joined Hershner Hunter in 1990 after deciding she wanted to raise her sons in the Willamette Valley surrounded by forests and rivers.  She is the Chair of the Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, is very active in the construction and banking industries and routinely speaks on credit-construction-bank related issues. She is also an active participant on the Board of Directors of the Construction Financial Management Association and serves as a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section.

Nancy is a Native Oregonian and is the 5th generation of her family raised on the Siletz Indian Reservation located on the Central Oregon Coast. She is very active in efforts to preserve tribal language, customs and traditions and proudly shares with others those she learned from the tribal elders while she was growing up.  Nancy and her husband David have two sons, Ty and Brinton, who also share their love and respect of the native traditions. Both boys perpetuate the native ways through their mastery of long standing hunting and fishing traditions.

Nancy loves all things sports but her favorites are football, softball, rodeo/barrel racing and boxing.  She spent many years playing on the tribal sponsored softball team and took home many trophies as a barrel racing champion with her quarter horse Ace. Nancy also enjoys reading true crime books, camping with her family, spending time with her two granddaughters and attending pow wows.
