K. Patrick Neill

Pat retired from Hershner Hunter in June 2019 after more than forty years as a partner, litigator and respected colleague. During the last sixteen of those years, Pat served as the firm’s managing partner. In that role, he successfully led the firm with the same measured wisdom and steady hand that served him so well in his litigation practice.

Pat graduated first in his class at the University of Southern California Law School. A native Oregonian, Pat left the palm trees and sun of L.A. to return to the Douglas firs and overcast skies of his home state immediately upon graduating. He spent his first two years after law school with Stoel Rives, LLP, in Portland before heading south to Eugene’s more agreeable environs.

Since 1976, Pat and his wife, Sarah, have lived in Pleasant Hill, where they raised three sons. A leader in his community as well as at work, Pat served on the Pleasant Hill School Board for many years and was an officer of the Oregon School Boards Association. Always a mentor, he spent many years as a youth baseball and basketball coach.
