Corina joined Hershner Hunter in 2009. Corina’s practice focuses on employee benefits. In her employee benefits practice, Corina assists employers in complying with the ever-changing federal regulation of retirement plans, cafeteria plans, HRAs and HSAs.

Corina is originally from Romania. She obtained her degree in Physical Chemistry at the University of Bucharest and worked as a Chemist for four years in Romania and Canada, where she moved in 1996. Corina met her husband in Toronto and they moved to the United States in 1997. When their first child turned two years old, Corina decided to go back to school. She started with business school and earned a Masters in Business Association at Francis Marion University. While in business school they had a second child. She then decided to attend law school and earned her J.D. degree from Charleston School of Law. She was a member and Student Works Editor of the Federal Courts Law Review.

During law school she discovered an interest in tax law and decided to pursue an LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Florida. After earning her advanced degree in tax law, Corina and her husband decided to relocate to a place where they would spend less time commuting and more time with their children, doing things that they enjoy.

In her spare time, Corina is driving her son to soccer practice, her daughter to karate, and together with her husband, they are exploring the Oregon coast and attending their son’s soccer tournaments.
