Amanda’s experience as a litigator combined with her human resources background makes her uniquely qualified to assist our clients in managing their employees. She represents employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies, in mediations and arbitrations, union and non-union, and in both the public and private sector.  Amanda has years of experience providing practical advice to employers in such areas as discipline and termination, harassment and discrimination, and conflict management.  She regularly provides trainings to employers and employees on various topics, including workplace harassment and respectful communication. She also advises employers on how to navigate the state and federal laws regarding medical leaves, disability rights and protected classifications.

A visible presence in her community, Amanda enjoys volunteering for both community and legal organizations.  She is currently on the Board of Directors for Laurel Hill Center, a non-profit assisting people with psychiatric disabilities, and previously served on the Board of Directors for Womenspace, a non-profit serving survivors of domestic violence.  She serves as Legislative Affairs Chair of the Lane County Human Resources Association and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.  Amanda also serves on the Oregon State Bar State Professional Responsibility Board and the Lane County Judicial Applicant Review Committee.  She is a past director of the Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund, the Lane County Bar Association and past Chair of the Oregon State Bar New Lawyers Division.
