The attorneys in our Employment and Employee Benefits Practice Group assist the firm’s business and public sector clients in virtually all aspects of the employment relationship, including a wide variety of human resource issues and the design and administration of retirement plans and other employee benefits programs. Our attorneys strive to develop close, collaborative relationships with management professionals to define and maximize their employment relationships, minimize the likelihood of disputes and accomplish the clients’ other business objectives. Our services include:

Drafting and auditing personnel policies, human resource procedures and benefit programs.

Designing and drafting qualified retirement plans, including defined benefit plans, 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans and 457 plans.

Drafting employment contracts, including non-competition, confidentiality and proprietary interest agreements.

Preparing cafeteria plans and other employee welfare benefit arrangements.

Drafting nonqualified and qualified retirement plans for non-profits and local governments.

Providing strategic advice to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws governing the workplace.

Conducting training seminars on a variety of labor, employment and human resources topics, including equal employment opportunity, file management, investigations, discipline and terminations.

Representing employers in labor and employment-related litigation in state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.

Developing affirmative action plans for federal contractors, and counseling employers during federal and state employment audits and investigations.

Preparing employee incentive compensation arrangements.

Providing strategic advice regarding the estate tax issues associated with large retirement accounts.
