Prior to law school, Bob practiced as a CPA with Deloitte, Touche in San Francisco. After law school, he worked for Stoel Rives, LLP in Portland and then with Quinney & Neill in Eugene. Bob joined Hershner Hunter as a partner in 1975.
Bob is a member and past president of the Eugene-Springfield Tax Association and Eugene Estate Planning Council. Raised in Medford, Oregon, he is a past president and board member for KIDSPORTS, and a past board member for the Eugene Family YMCA and the Eugene Country Club.
Bob played college basketball at BYU, and each of his four sons participated in Division I college sports. He and his wife, Leslie, play golf and tennis and follow the career of their youngest son, Jeff, who won the 2000 U.S. Amateur Golf Championship on his road to the PGA golf tour.
