Dave has been a leading practitioner in the areas of estate planning and probate and trust administration for more than 30 years. Dave is a past chair of both the Business Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and the Lane County Bar Association. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for more than twenty years. Dave is a Fellow of both the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is a charter member and past President of the Eugene Estate Planning Council and a member of the Eugene-Springfield Tax Association. Dave has been a frequent speaker on estate planning topics for the Continuing Legal Education programs of the Oregon State Bar and other organizations.

Dave is a native of Kansas . He and his wife, Beverly, have four children, daughters Kathy and Jillian and sons Jeff and Mark. Dave and Beverly enjoy sailing, traveling and cooking together.
